Detroit Job Market - Positions Opening Up

In Detroit, the job market has become one of the country's worst scenarios. So many companies have pulled out that many people have been forced to move away. However, the city is working towards a rebound and there are companies now hiring throughout the region. For those individuals looking for jobs, it will be slow going, experts note, but they also say that progress is likely to occur throughout 2012 and well into the next few years. Quicken Loans Adding Jobs One glimmer of bright is the company Quicken Loans. In the Detroit area, the company is planning to open up as many as 1400 jobs to fill with qualified area workers. The positions will be in various areas of the company. This retail mortgage lender has most of those positions slated to fill the gaps in the downtown offices of the company.
Obama, Jobs and Detroit - The Mix

With the recent jobs report out from the Bureau of Labor, it is clear that jobs are becoming more available today than they have been in the recent months. However, there are many things to keep in mind as you consider those reports. Moreover, with news that President Obama will be touting what the auto bailout did for the Detroit area, there is even more reason to consider who you will vote for. The Detroit job market is improving. It is one of the fastest growing regions in the country. The country has a whole saw the unemployment rate fall from 8.5 percent in December to 8.3 percent in January. Employers created an additional 243,000 jobs this mouth. Still thinking of this, it is important to consider what Detroit has been through as well as what it is still going through in the long term.

  Right after the halftime show during the Superbowl Clint Eastwood, America's prized star, came onto the screens of millions of people. He spoke about the country and how, as many have hoped, it is half time - time to make the next jump on America's future happen. The country is battered and bruised, but, as he said, it is time. The good news is that for Detroit, which was the focal point of Eastwood's speech, there is action taking place. What's astonishing is where Detroit has come from. The city was shaken to the core with the drop in sales of American made vehicles over the last few years. Many of the country's largest auto makers had to reach out to government funds to bail out their debt stricken industries and to find a way to get back on track. It was not easy and it cost the city of Detroit, one of the major auto maker regions in the country, dearly.
